Face-to-Face Inclusive Activity Training

Practical, hands-on training for your whole school or organisation
Our face-to-face courses are designed as full-day, practical workshops that bring inclusive physical activity and learning through play to life.
The format is flexible and can accommodate as many participants as your school or organisation's venue can comfortably and safely accommodate. This means you can involve the whole team rather than limiting training to a small number of staff.
Teachers, SNAs, special education staff, parents, Board of Management members, volunteers and other members of your organisation can all take part.
Learn by doing
This isn't a course where you simply sit and listen.
Our face-to-face training is a hands-on, interactive workshop where participants have the opportunity to try out many of the games and activities for themselves.
We'll demonstrate a wide range of practical activities and then give participants the opportunity to play, adapt and explore them. Depending on your group's needs and interests, we can incorporate activities from both of our online courses, giving you an even wider range of ideas to take away and use.
The result is a day that is fun, informative, practical and engaging for everyone involved.
Time to ask questions and explore ideas
We also allow plenty of time throughout the day for discussion and questions.
Topics can include:
- Understanding disability and additional needs
- The importance of physical activity for school-aged children
- Creating more inclusive PE and physical activity opportunities
- Adapting games and activities for different abilities
- Using play to support communication, cooperation and social development
- Overcoming barriers to participation
- Practical ideas that can be used in your school, organisation or community setting
Our aim is not simply to give you a collection of games, but to help you understand how and why activities can be adapted so that more children can participate, enjoy themselves and succeed.

Why Choose Face-to-Face Training?
While our online courses provide a flexible way to learn at your own pace, face-to-face training offers something different — the opportunity to learn, play and explore together as a team.
Involve Your Whole Team
Rather than training one or two members of staff, you can bring together teachers, SNAs, special education staff, parents, volunteers and other members of your organisation. Everyone develops a shared understanding and takes away the same practical ideas.
Learn Through Experience
Our workshops are practical from the start. Participants don't just hear about activities — they try them for themselves. This helps demonstrate how an activity works, how it can be adapted and how different children may experience it.
Adapt Activities Together
One of the biggest benefits of face-to-face training is the opportunity to experiment. We can adapt activities during the session and discuss how they could be changed for different abilities, ages, environments and levels of support.
Ask Questions in Real Time
Every group is different. Face-to-face training gives you the opportunity to discuss your own experiences, challenges and questions with an experienced trainer and explore practical solutions that are relevant to your setting.
Take Away Practical Ideas
You'll finish the day with a collection of games, activities, adaptations and practical strategies that can be used straight away, in the classroom, PE hall, playground or community setting.
Build a More Inclusive Approach
Perhaps most importantly, bringing your team together creates a shared approach to inclusion. Everyone can contribute ideas, learn from each other and develop greater confidence in creating opportunities for every child to participate.
It's more than a training day — it's a day of learning, playing, sharing ideas and discovering new possibilities together.
